Sam Bankman-Fried could be subpoenaed by the US House Financial Services Committee if he does not appear before the panel next week, the committee's Chairperson Maxine Waters said on Thursday. The panel has asked Bankman-Fried to be present at a hearing scheduled on December 13 and is prepared to subpoena him if necessary, Waters said.
