CEOViews: How do your innovative solutions help smart cities and quality of life?
William Gouesbet: IoT solutions can help city officials, operators, managers, and decision-makers, as well as utilities and city sub-contractors, to imagine, design, deploy and operate intelligent applications to collect data from their assets in real-time to provide real-time insights on city activity, energy consumption, operations, and environmental impact. Relying on concrete and updated information, decision-makers will be able to take timely and appropriate actions to execute their public service duty, improve the city’s quality of life, increase its cost-efficiency, and enhance its environmental sustainability.
CEOViews: In what ways does your company assist the smart growth of agriculture and the environment?
William Gouesbet: IoT solutions can help to imagine, design, deploy and operate intelligent applications to provide real-time insights on activity and environment to deliver better actionable data for appropriate decision-making. This thus removes manual tasks, improves efficiency, automates measures, generates alerts, and streamlines operations at scale.
CEOViews: How does Kerlink help in creating buildings and industries in a smart way?
William Gouesbet: By using LoRaWAN Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWANs) with LoRa communication, Kerlink can help facility managers and industry operators & supervisors to better monitor, control, and manage every aspect of their activity. They can monitor electricity and water consumption to improve overall energy efficiency. They can control assets to improve predictive maintenance, availability, and uptime and track goods and materials to improve supply chain and logistics. They can ensure safe and clean working and visiting conditions for users and staff and streamline operations to cut costs and increase end-user satisfaction.
CEOViews: Can you explain a bit about your approach called “Kerlink Academy”? What does it offer to the users?
William Gouesbet: Kerlink conceived tailored offers to help universities and engineers easily implement and operate reliable LoRaWAN development environments based on its market-leading solutions: Kerlink Academy Connectivity Packages. Kerlink combined its industrial-grade LoRaWAN gateways, its LoRa Network Server, and its Wanesy Management Center network provisioning and monitoring tools in turnkey, pre-staged, and ready-to-use connectivity packages to help universities to learn about LoRaWAN and experience how to build end-to-end IoT solutions quickly.
CEOViews: Kerlink is a founding and board member of the uCiFi Alliance. What is it all about?
William Gouesbet: The uCiFi Alliance is a non-profit organization founded by global market leaders to unlock the Smart Cities & utility markets with Open-Source and Multi-Transport Wireless Communications Technology. uCIFI specifies a unified data model & interface across multiple IoT networks, including LoRaWAN, NB-IoT & an Open Source Sub-GHz MESH network to enable interoperability between vendors, drastically reduce integration complexity, risk, and cost when developing & deploying Smart Cities & Utilities Applications. uCIFI specifies an open-source sub-GHz mesh wireless network with the same unified data model & interface to complement the existing open LPWAN networks (LoRa and NB-IoT) and provide Device-To-Device open networking solutions to Smart Streetlight and Metering Applications.
CEOViews: Kerlink is also a founding and board member of the LoRa Alliance. Please explain your role.
William Gouesbet: Kerlink has been a member of the LoRa Alliance and a Board Member since its very first gathering in 2015. The LoRa Alliance is an open, non-profit association that has become one of the largest and fastest-growing alliances in the technology sector since its inception. Kerlink and its members closely collaborate and share experiences to promote and drive the success of the LoRaWAN standard as the leading open global standard for secure, carrier-grade IoT LPWAN connectivity. With the technical flexibility to address a broad range of IoT applications, both static and mobile, and a certification program to guarantee interoperability, LoRaWAN has already been deployed by major mobile network operators globally, with continuing wide expansion into 2020 and beyond.
CEOViews: What innovative technology does your company implement to smoothly carry out its work process?
William Gouesbet: INNOVATIONS FOR SUSTAINABILITY
